The Journey to 
Crissy's Charming Boutique

Greetings, my name is Crissy as you may have gathered. I am a 30 something, age gap, weight gap, married mom of 2 teens. You will see/hear my hubby on our live shows, on occasion my daughter. Our boy is a shy gentle giant, you may hear him on occasion but rarely see him. The hubby is Kevin, our daughter is Annabelle (Annie) & our boy is Glenn.

Let' dig into our origin story. Crissy's Charming Boutique started as an idea for a side hustle. I used to work for a pyramid scheme, direct sales business. I got tired of doing 75% of the work and getting 50% of the pay. So I ditched the direct sales and started investigating how to start my own shop. I researched for the next year. I researched how to start, what license I would need, what kind of products to offer and the like.

When all these ideas started to come together I was OBSESSED with Sons of Anarchy. So while on a roadtrip to Dallas with my girlfriends, we started talking about how to intertwine SOA with my shop. We thought of games with SOA inspired names, and even a name for the business: Shoppers of Anarchy. Business started off ok, with the a good solid friend and family customer base. As the live shows started being shared we gained some momentum. Grew our business. Though as time went on, I didn't see the increase in customers as I had hoped. I thought Shoppers of Anarchy my be putting some off. Thus came Shoppers of Anarchy Boutique. After this change, things still change. After discussion with close family and friends, I decided that the word "Anarchy" may be throwing people off.

Perhaps, it is the political connection with the word, perhaps some didn't like Sons of Anarchy. So, while I wanted to stick with my base, love for SOA. SOA is part of my soul. The soaps, lotions, wax products and games we play on the show will always be influenced my SOA. Thus, Crissy's Charming Boutique was born. In case you are not an SOA fan, Charming is the name SOA'S home city. So I get to keep some of SOA in my name but now put others off by the name. Crissy's Charming Boutique just sounds like a sweet little shop.

I saw whipped soap on another show. It peaked my interest, so I turned to YouTube. They're How To videos are my business school. So I watched many different how to make Whipped Soap, Freshies, and more. I read many articles and recipes and pieced together what I believe to be the most DELIGHTFUL soap! Fluffy, susdy, natural soap. Conquering this task only made a monster out of me. I wanted to make all the things! So was birthed, all natural Whipped Body Butter, Head to Toe Lotion, Wax Melts, Candles & Freshies.

After the conquer of all the handmade body and wax products, I found vinyl & sublimation. I hustled to purchase a Cricut & later a sublimation printer. I am still learning all the things a Cricut can do but I LOVE SUBLIMATION WORK. I love using sublimation to make tumblers, blankets & T-Shirts. I take custom orders through my social media pages and charge no extra. It's not an easy task keeping up with all the things but I truly love it. I can zone out, create & make people happy. What could be better?
